All in one printers for vista

Yeah, I did it like the above mentioned I will do it all over again, step by step. Maybe I missed something When I go to print, it seems like it prints As for installing the scanner software, I did what you said about stopping the CD and Exploring to the file It told me that the OS is the wrong version for this software However, I don't need it, as I can scan from my Vista desktop without any problems It's just getting it to print from my XP machine to my Vista machine with out any problems I am at work right now but if you go here , read about the network map I feel this applies then read about sharing a printer on a wireless network.

I have seen issues with sharing over a network. It could be as simple as having to identical accounts and passwords on each computer. Example: asharpjr account on each computer and identical passwords. What is a Dell Service Tag and how do I locate it? Yeah, I have different account names on each computer I also have the printer in Share status I will try network magic and see if it works I don't konw what's wrong, it was working I am on my way to work now Didn't help I think it has something to do with the drivers I found some somewhere on the web a few weeks ago and they seemed to work fine The one I have now Did you install these drivers in this order? I thought that was included with the download. Apparently not. The software needed to fax should be included in the printer software. K now what. I am far from computer savvy. This Sucks. I really am Not happy with vista for many reasons. Scan, fax, copy and print.

On both of them, HP said the needed drivers were already in Vista, and just plug them in and they would work. That was true to a point, but I guess I got greedy -- I wanted to see if I could get the control interface program to load by putting in the original install disc for the PSC neither machine performs fully and with all its functions with the built in drivers.

When I did that, it did not work at all, and would not even finish the install process. So I took all that effort out the best I could tell. Now, it will not let me have access to even set my print preferences. No matter what approach I use, that is not available to me. So, my real question now is, how in the world can I just get back to square one, and reinstall the built in Vista drivers for the HP printers that I have.

I also have the new Vista and was unaware of this problem. I was not warned of this, when I installed my all-in-one. Do you know where I can download Windows Vista Beta 2 that will support fax, scan and copy? I already a driver, but it doesn't support to scan, fax or copy, It supports printing and photo printing.

I can now print from the Vista computer but can no longer setup faxes, scan, or copy. Printing is most important to me. The other tasks I can accomplish by a short walk to the all-in-one and i can handle those other things.

Have been on to HP but no help there so far. Sounds pretty iffy to me, but then what else can I do if I want fax from the PC? I can still fax from the manually. Hardly anything that worked in windowsXP is going to work in Vista. As windows slowly forces vista on it's users,, they are no longer supporting anything to do with windowsXP.
