Cracking the gmat 2010 edition download

After reviewing the Kaplan test style for the past 6 weeks, I needed another LSAT manual to help nail this process and do well on the test in June. This book does give the basics and helps refresh me on what to look for; yet, Kaplan books are more-in-depth. I wanted an initial book to review and help me see it; this book is more simplified.

I will see how their review tests are; otherwise, this week will do the prep tests that Kaplan offers from past LSAT tests taken in previous years. The Logical Reasoning arguments break-down was beneficial as a refresher, games were also helpful to see other strategies similar to Kaplan method but the reading comprehension wasn't that helpful to me.

It also stated to circle keywords but didn't illustrate it in the book as a tool to be helpful for test takers. I will go home and review the reading comp from Kaplan then. Pacing yourself section is helpful since when I was taking practice drills or tests, I was upset when I could only answer up to questions, leaving at least answers undone in 35 minutes. It suggests to take in 35 minutes to get your pace first and have right answers and eventually get right in 35 minutes.

I will try this method to build my momentum and speed. It is best to get them correct than rushing to finish, or pressured since it leads usually to wrong answers and lose points! I will evaluate my performance the following week and see what I can do to gain confidence and get the correct answers in sufficient timing.

It also briefly covered the writing sample as well. I will review a few online or find a book on this section alone to make sure I am prepared although it is not scored but law schools do review when submitting application. All in all, the sixteen bucks I spent for this five-hundred-some-page study guide was money well spent early in this eight-month process of honing up my reasoning and speed reading skills.

On all of the practice problems there is a solid explanation for the correct answer along with justifications for the false answers.

The other great thing is that the book doesn't waste time. It only teaches the material that will be covered on the test, and it teaches the process of elimination techniques that you'll need to work through the test questions as fast as you'll need to.

I'd strongly recommend this book over any other book out there.
