Marianna: Calibrated works Is Calibrated or Raylight preferable? Or will the Avid Codecs PE work for free? Call me a dummy, but I don't know where to find this?
Thanks, Adman. I found it and ran the install program, but I still get the white screen no codec when I import the file. I would have thought, with FCP becoming so popular, this would be something that comes up all the time, but a search of the forum and web-at-large yields no concensus solution.
Next, I'll try the pay-to-play third party codecs I have used it in the past. Reply Contact. MC Mac Pro, 64GB Ram. But the good news is that your guy's Final Cut Pro license allows him to install the software on both his desktop and his laptop system.
It's in the fine print somewhere. I think the license says something about how you aren't supposed to use both installations at the same time, but I could be mis-remembering that. So the solution is just to take the Final Cut Pro software he already has and install it on his laptop. It's totally within the letter and spirit of the license. Reply Quote. In our case, we are currently in post on a 13 part History Channel series, 1 two-hour documentary, 3 one-hour Biography Channel programs, 2 one-hour documentary specials and 1 two-hour History Channel documentary special. Without mentioning the concern on what the re-renders are doing to the visual integrity of the programs.
It's a fair question, especially since the release of the very promising Apple ProRes codec. Our reasons are simple:. Why the need for exporting self contained and reimporting them?
